BACKGROUND

"Born in Lira one of the districts in northern Uganda that has experienced rebel atrocities for the past 23 years. She was found clung on her mothers’ dead body wounded [May 21st 2006]. She was taken to the local chief’s residence where I got her still wounded. Having received treatment, she eventually got better and started attending school this year [2008]. She still shows signs of trauma but undergoing rehabilitation."
